What is a Content Management System?
If your question is "how do I make the most of my website?" the answer will be: a Content Management System (CMS).
A Content Management System (CMS) gives you the ability to change the content of your web site. The tool enables you to manage what information appears on your site whether it’s text, images or graphics.
The MSO Editor is a browser-based, What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) web content editor designed for dynamic web sites. It enables content contributors to create and publish their own web content whilst retaining the overall look and feel of the site.
The MSO Editor tool allows formatting similar to other word processing software - the user can change the font weight and text colour; insert tables, use bullet points, indenting and numbering. Microsoft Word™ documents can be uploaded to the editor via a simple interface with most formatting retained.
To ensure security and central control, the administration section is password protected - the user’s name is recorded and stored when a page is changed. Each time a page is amended, the preceding three versions of the document are saved and can be restored, if necessary.
